Jon Evans is an author, journalist, travel writer, and software engineer.

His journalism has appeared in The Guardian, Wired, Quartz, The Globe & Mail and The Walrus, and he was TechCrunch's weekly opinion columnist for most of a decade. He has traveled to more than 100 countries and reported from Iraq, Haiti, Colombia, and the Congo.

His novels have won Arthur Ellis and ForeWord Book Of The Year awards. Originally published by HarperCollins and Hodder & Stoughton, almost all of them are now freely available online. His work has been translated into ten languages.
